Hello Jean,
I have no concrete info, but it seems that the docs might be dubious on this point. The whole point of ftgentmp - as I understand it - is to generate temporary tables, which only exist for one note. It is still strange, considering the manual entry.

Depending on your needs, I'm sure you can easily avoid this situation.
