Suggestion... can the C be less florid.. a cleaner, leaner letter C not Italics

I have a vague memory about the logo discussion from a few years ago where the c was as in the files linked. If I remember correctly the design of the c was suggested by John ffitch and alluded to the common musical notation c (?).
The very informal voting on the users list ended up with support for that design at that time, in competition with a few other suggestions…
