at some point i intend to use more than 2 instruments but at any point of the song i may use only 2 or 1 or 3, so adjusting it at each score block would make setting the amp of each instrument easier...

if you like, you can mimic this behaviour in the way i attach.
(i personally would prefer to set a dB value in the instrument as p-field, but it works also this way.)
