Have any of you dabbled in max, or max for live? How would you compare it to csound, and do you use it for specific things still, or integrate it into csound?
I used to use Max many many years ago, but gave up on it in favor Pd, and then dropped that in favor of a text based language, i.e, Csound, which gave me far more options in terms of target platforms and systems. For example, I can run a Csound instrument on virtually any device without much work. And I can quickly and easily embed Csound into a game engine, middeware, website, etc. with relatively ease. Oh and I can run a Csound instrument in any DAW I like, not just Live
