Is the mention of Love2d in Lua chapter of Csound FLOSS manual erroneous?

(EDIT: I’m asking this simultaneously in love2d forums)
Hello fellow Csounders, I am honored to join these forums! Been learning Csound over the years, little by little.
Straight to the point, Csound FLOSS manual mentions Love2d in lua chapter, here: “For Indi Developers working with the Löve 2D Engine, which is based on Lua, Csound can be a sophisticated option for controlling the sound, as well as creating/controlling the sounds in Csound.” The Csound FLOSS Manual

I tested a minimal working example lua program with the luaCsnd6.so (in archlinux, without love2d) and works fine. However, requiring it in love2d segfaults. I leafed through love2d forums and as far as I understand, love2d runs the game loop realtime and thus cannot include and run csound share library in realtime.

Before I write love2d forums, I’d like to ask here:

  • I’d like to reach the writer of this chapter and confirm if it’s been run succesfully, before confirming in love2d forums and changing to godot
  • If it cannot be run, maybe this mention in the manual should be changed?

Best, A J Greengrove
