Can you reach the menu? If yes, then uncheck View->Show Help Fullscreen
if not, the shortcut should be
Ctrl+Alt+2 (or Cmd+Alt+2 on Mac) to toggle the fullscreen mode.

which operating system are you on?
resetting the preferences should help, as Edoardo wrote by the bug issue.
