[Csnd] Using opcode built with faust

Hey hey,
I have compiled a Faust .dsp file with faust2csound on Linux. I have copied the resultant .so file to my local opcode directory:
cp myshim.so /usr/local/lib/csound/plugins64-6.0/
This is one path for opcodes as set by the environment variable:
OPCODE6DIR=/usr/local/lib/csound/plugins64-6.0:/usr/lib/csound/plugins64-6.0

Neither will csound -z show this opcode, nor will it just run with it. It remains an unexpected word. I have also tried putting the .so file in my current working directory.

Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this? I rmemeber that I had issues before now.

Best wishes,

Jeanette

Csound version incompatility?

Compiled on my system. I suppose compiled against the installed Csound version. The compiled .dsp file is only linked to standard libraries:
linux-vdso.so.1
libstdc++.so.6
libm.so.6
libgcc_s.so.1
libc.so.6
/usr/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2

Missing 3rd party libraries?

The library doesn't seem to need anything 3rd party. It was just straight Faust DSP code based on its standard library.

Is there a Faust support library?

If you mean inside the Csound plugins folder, then I have:
libfaustcsound.so
Nothing else that I can see.

The opcodes that come with the installed Arch LInux package reside in
/usr/lib/csound/plugins64-6.0
I thought I'd put any manually installed extra opcodes in the /usr/local version of that.

Do you have further ideas on how to perhaps test the opcode paths?

Best wishes,

Jeanette

If I copy the opcode to the current working directory and include the switch --opcode-dir=. then I can load the opcode. But that's only half way, because there are other prebilt opcodes which I would also like to try.

Ah, I solved it. It was one of those typos that you read and read again and always overlook, because you're looking elsewhere. -- Sorry for the trouble.

Best wishes,
