[Csnd] New release of Csound FLOSS Manual

release 8 of the Csound FLOSS Manual is now online:

thanks for hlodver's great work, we have a lot of improvements in chapter overview, code highlighting, together with a improvements in the underlying web assembly csound engine.

as for the content, changes are reported in The Csound FLOSS Manual

in particular, there is a new GETTING STARTED which will hopefully help people to learn csound from scratch, without anything they have to know (or to install) in advance:

i also started a collection of HOW TO ... receipes for which i invite anyone from the community for any contribution or request about what would be useful:

any critical feedback is most appreciated! you can email me, or report an issue / start a discussion on the project's site:

Congratulations and biggest thanks!

I think the FLOSS manual is the most important and accessible place to learn Csound, now even more human friendly, clear and easy to read. The Getting Started is great, also I really like the introduction and How-Tos serve great support and understanding for any Csound user, I would say.

This is immense, thank you!

Thank you so much for such an excellent and comprehensive resource.
Thanks to all your work, it has never been easier to ‘learn’ Csound.

I especially love your new “Getting Started,” “HOW To,” and “Essential Opcodes” sections.
Wait… Links, all the great Misc, Cabbage, pd, OSC, Arduino… So very inspiring and enlightening.
So beautifully paced, so filled with historical insights, and ALL so well organized.
I can’t wait to teach at Berklee using this in the fall.

Thanks to you and all your contributors over the years. This essential resource keeps getting better and better and better.
I need more time to dive in deeply and learn more about all those areas of Csound I have yet to explore and all those that are always refreshing and inspiring to revisit!
