Hey hey,
this was called "a sound design piece" and it may just be so:
I finally used my Csound handpan instrument, transposing the B Curd to C minor. I also created a little conga like sound and the wobbly pad. Besides that there are quite a few effect sound and rhythmic elements generated in Csound. Vocoded hihats with a little parameter automatisation, white noise clouds inspired by the Doctor Who theme and a few risers playing with comb filters and stereo width and once with adsynt modifying the intervals between the overtones.
There is one quiet sequence, first heard 39-40 seconds. The sequence was recorded from hardware, but I tried to achieve a kind of Sheperd/Risset effect in both pitch and distance. It didn't really work out as such though.
Still, a nice experiment. Maybe next time with more care and planning. ![]()
Other instruments used: LinuxSampler djembe, tabla, piano, Yoshimi choir layer. In hardware: Waldorf Microwave Xt main choir, FM\-bass and phasey pad, Neutron and MiniBrute 2 for basses.
The lyrics are below.
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Sprite on the ice
In a mist laden dream.
Like rain from the skies,
You touch
And are gone with the stream.
Now, here...
I feel you close
Soft like a tear,
Sharp as a rose.
