[Csnd] [ANN] Sound Bath

Hi All,

I'm happy to announce the release of a new sound work, Sound Bath, available at:

It is a WebAudio Csound project that can be installed for offline use
as a Progressive Web Application. Source code is available at:

The project started its life as a live coding session that I later
worked into a web application. CSD files in the root can be used to
render the project with desktop Csound in realtime and to disk.
Hopefully the project may be useful for others as an example for
creating their own Web Csound projects.

Listening to it now, works very well.

I also tested on my phone and it plays ok.

Thanks All!

Regarding performance, I've been listening to this work a lot over the
past month and I'll occasionally get some glitches. It's a pretty
simple project and so far I haven't discovered what is causing it.
Will keep looking into it and report if I find anything. :slight_smile:

It seemed solid to me on Chrome.

What I have noticed is that Web Audio on Safari is very poor. Students have reported dropouts with the Web IDE, which all go away when they switch to Chrome.

Happy to report than on safari on my Mac Studio M1 Max all goes well without any glitche

It's strange as glitches were happening earlier today whenever I
opened/closed tabs, but after updating Chrome and restarting just now
it's feeling solid again. Hard to know at this point if it will come
back or not, will just listen and monitor.

For Safari, it's always been a challenge. I haven't looked at it in a
long time but last I checked there were issues with memory limits but
I'm not sure that'd be a factor for dropouts. I added
Investigate WebAudio Csound performance on Safari (macOS, iOS) · Issue #1888 · csound/csound · GitHub so we don't lose track of
it.

Also works fine on your basic Chromebook (4GB RAM).

Firefox seems to have the best wasm performance today.

How do I get to hear it? I see a list of frequencies but no sound

There should be a set of controls below the text for frequencies:

* Play Button (turns into a Pause button once the program starts playing)
* Volume Slider
* Mute On/Off speaker button

Plays well in:
Ubuntu+Firefox and
Windows10+Edge
