Piping to Csound from another process

I am a newbie at Csound and a swede and this is my first posting here.

I have a laptop with a touch screen running Ubuntu and a home made program which senses touches on the screen,

translates the position to a frequency and prints an i-statement. This is to test an experimental scale.

The documentation for option ‘-L DEVICE’ seems to indicate that option -L is what I should use to play in real-time with Csound.

Quoting a sentence from the documentation: “The name stdin will permit score events to be typed at your terminal, or piped from another process.”

My question is, how do I get the i-statement printed by my program to be read by Csound?

Here is what I am using for testing, a mixture of two examples,

Is this how you submit code?

-odac -L stdin

sr = 44100
ksmps = 128
nchnls = 2
0dbfs = 1

instr 1
aSine poscil3 p4, p5, 1
outs aSine, aSine

f 1 0 1024 10 1
i 1 0 3600 ;calls the instrument, and plays for 3600 seconds

I hope I made myself clear.

Help is very welcome.
