Looking forward to the conference!

I arrive Vienna late tonight. Anyone already there then? Also wanted to ask about the flooding, how bad is it in Vienna?

We made it to Vienna this morning and it’s a little wet and windy but seems okay.

I am here at Magdas Hotel, out till after lunch.

My colleague and I are coming tomorrow. There is a huge problem with trains in Austria so we need to switch to a car. We are planning to set off tomorrow around 6:30 am from Frankfurt am Main and there are two free seats in the car so if anyone wants, can gladly join us.

Hi Oeyvind, hi all,

here in Vienna public transport is running despite the subways U2 and
U3, which do not run at all, and U4 and U6 which only run partially.
There is a replacement bus service. The relevant page to translate is:

Train lines do not run reliably at all until at least wednesday. Some
information is available at

At least privat bus services seem to run, see the notorious

Austrian newspaper derStandard produced an english article with
information about the nationwide situation at

Despite that life here seems all normal. See you tomorrow at the

Hi all,
thanks for useful links, how now with weather emergency? I planned to arrive at Wien airport tomorrow at 17, can anyone confirm or I must unwillingly renounce? (I intended just assist).
