Hey hey,
this song holds quite a few Csound elements:
Two snares, two kicks, all the risers and screamers, even the big clap was built in Csound from about 70 or 80 single hand claps. These were all rendered to disk and then loaded into a sampler. Csound did participate live though, with the electric guitars, a Karplus-Strong MIDI instrument. The distortion was added later on. Also two of the really hard hitting basses are Csound MIDI instruments, one using wave terrain synthesis. It is so rich in harmonics and so flexible. Absolutely perfect for a nice dubstep bass. ![]()
The song itself blends elements from a few genres, including dubstep, EDM, rock and synthpop.
Best wishes,
Jeanette
