Hey hey,
here's Leviathan a piece of glam rock/metal with a twist:

(lyrics below)
The twist is that there are no guitars, instead there is Clavinet and a little more Clavinet.
Admittedly, Csound plays a minor role in this, but I thought it was too
much work to waste.
I used Csound for some of the effects and for
vocal processing. I still need to work on this technique. The original
idea is to use an FFT-based denoise technique or a phase vocoder with
pink noise to remove some of the non-harmonic spectrum to achieve a kind
of aural exciter effect. I also added slightly detuned version of the
main voice to fatten it further. That is on top of the two extra copies
of the main voice that I actually sang.
On top of that, there's a lot of the Guitarix plugin suite to get all
that distortion on the Clavinet.
Enjoy, feedback is very welcome. And here are the lyrics:
[Verse]
Black clouds, going under...
Underndeath the blood-dark seas.
Buried by despairing thunder
Crumpling like the fallen trees.
I try to grasp at final straws
of hope with claws
that cut my lifeline
Lost in ever turning spirals:
I am going down.
Nevermore!
No saving shore...
Soil, rot and pain to the core!
[Chorus]
Can we face the horizon,
Where all hope will be denied?
Brave the rise of the leviathan,
Who devours life and soul?
[Verse]
When life hands you lemons,
Go make some lemonade.
Shallow words from vapid faces,
Token of mendacious aid
All alone inside the vacant shell
I fall apart in silence...
Clad in ashen robes and veils of smoke
I fade away.
Nevermore!
No saving shore...
Is it worth fighting for?
[Chorus]
Can we face the horizon, (the horizon)
Where all hope will be denied?
Brave the rise of the leviathan, (Leviathan)
Who devours life and soul?
[Instrumental]
{Chorus]
Best wishes,
Jeanette
