[Csnd] How to link to the latest Beta Release of the Csound Manual in CsoundQt and Cabbage

Hello Tarmo, Rory, and Csounders

As many of you know, menno has been doing a lot of work to update the Csound Manual for release with Version 7.

The link to his beta release is here: https://csound.com/manual/

Is there a simple way to link this latest version in with the current release version of CsoundQt so that my students and I can easily jump to the latest examples, see also, and links?

Is this the version that would like to the latest Beta or release versions of Cabbage?

If not, can you recommend how my students and I can get easy access to the latest

  • yes, we can go to the web, but i do not think that this will push the example csd files directly into the Editor of the CsoundQt IDE (which is super efficient and convenient and more immediately inspiring.)

It doesn’t really make sense to include this with Cabbage as it’s not using Csound 7 yet. Is CsoundQT now shipping with Csound7?

No it is not shipping yet, but these enhancements to the manual actually seem to apply to the 6.18 opcodes still - just more info, clearer info and more links, more example csds, but it can wait.

The API will change so all frontends will
need to be adjusted before they can work with
Csound 7.
