[Csnd] FLTK and Virtual MIDI

Are FLTK and virtual MIDI no longer available in Windows 6.18.1?

The .dll’s enabling them (including virtual.dll and widgets.dll) have disappeared. My .csd’s that include these features no longer run, it seems.

Hi Art, you can get these from the opcode plugins repo.

https://github.com/csound/plugins/releases/tag/1.0

As you have probably read on the forum, the fltk opcodes and interfaces have become more and more difficult to maintain due to issues with the underlying fltk library itself. Hence the decision was taken to move them from the main repo.

They have been moved to the plugin repo since 6.16 (I think, or 6.17).

Hi, Rory and Victor -

Unfortunately, the widgets and virtual keyboard .dll’s are not included in the Windows opcodes plugins repository, despite what README.md says. Where can they be had?

Does this have anything to do with a missing FLTK library?

(This surely makes it problematic for anyone on Windows wanting to run FLTK .csd’s on a recent installation of Csound.)

Please disregard this recent mail. I see that FLTK and virtual MIDI have now been included in csound64.dll and are no longer separate .dll’s.

They shouldn’t be Art. Are you sure Csound isn’t picking them up from a previous installation?

Thanks for the eagle eye. You are right - virtual.dll and widgets.dll were picked up from a previous installation (and its environment variables).

So, back to where I was before. What happened to those two files?

Please forget this whole thread. I was completely off track and confused.

I don’t think anything was ever wrong; all the files are there. Just got myself caught in a jumble of Csounds. All sorted now.
