[Csnd] delay line with negative feedback coeff

Hello everybody!

Recently i’m working a lot with delay lines for a performance project.
So i’ve talked with a lot of people about this and someone recommended to try out negative feedback coefficents instead of positiv ones. But i don’t know really why. I’m also working with extrem feedback rations, higher then 1.
Can someone explain what is happening when i use a negative feedback ratio with delayw ?

This is an interesting concept. I imagine a negative gain would be a multiplication, but of an inverted signal.

I will have to experiment with this myself!

Using a negative feedback shifts the comb filter pole away from 0Hz, putting a dip there.
That should have an effect on suppressing DC, if that's an issue for you.
