I thoroughly agree! Talk about going back to about as basic as one could get,
(sine waves!) but I think it still gave me some new perspectives! I've only really
skimmed it as yet, but it looks beatifully clear.
(One puzzlement... (:-)) The folder I created to hold the CSDs has a file
' kboard_techspecs.pdf' that I can't actually find in any of the zips I
downloaded! Looks appropriate, though -- and unusual, with a key
'tilt' function. Any explanation?)
I know! It's a total mystery to me ATM! I have no recollection of acquiring
that PDF (dated sometime in January), and how it would end up in that
folder that I created especially for that zip, I can't imagine! Oh well, maybe
it'll come back to me... (:-/)
Ahhh... tracked it down! Last month I came across a reference to
Keith McMillen Instruments. He's a local guy who I met once, so I was
interested in what he was doing. I downloaded the PDF out of curiosity.
How it ended up in that folder (that I only created yesterday!!) is total
weirdness, though. Can only have been an accidental mouse drag!
i showed mostly a way to work with arrays as rhythmic sequences, and found it quite straightforward and having a big potential for working on rhythm in a structural way. so perhaps this is of interest for one or the other. but perhaps this is already well known for most of you.

There is another composition student who asked me how to get started with Csound and this material is just perfect!
