Dear all, I updated at https://github.com/antpl/csound a collection of different Csound examples that were in my archives for some years. I’ve done these mostly as examples for students or just for fun during long train travels. They are mostly focusing on simple compositional structures to control and show some specific sound synthesis. The examples should work on the fly with minor differences for Windows users, but nothing significant. More examples will be added in the future. The next step would be to update the examples to Csound7. But now I hope they can be useful to demonstrate a bit of the abilities and power of Csound.

I think that the Csound manual is excellent now, describing the technical stuff and leaving the aesthetic questions to the personal domain. I believe this shouldn’t be changed. But for those looking for an introduction to Csound and not knowing what it can do, some examples that run quickly without too many settings are very helpful to get an idea of what you can do with Csound. Iain McCurdy’s huge collection was very useful to me, for example. This was my aim, and I’m glad it may be helpful for other users.
