I've just looked into the whole thing. I'm sorry, I really let it slide. But I'm afraid it won't work this year. My girlfriend will be here in September and we have plans to see a few places. A paper itself should only be four pages, which is fine. There is a LaTex document template, which is REALLY wickked! 
Time clash aside, I think we should also get more experience in joined presentation, because presentations there will go by the clock! I have difficulties estimating running time, but I at least have some, if crude experience, in doing such presentations. By your own admission, you'd like to get your feet wet a little more, if I understood you correctly. And I would also like to find my feet properly for such an event.
They offer different formats: papers and workshops. So, if you wanted to, you might register for a small workshop on a specific Ondes related matter. I'd be there in advance to give you a hand here and there, but it would have to be your thing. The deadline is this Saturday. If you're tempted, you might want to take a look:

I haven't looked at workshops, but for papers they offered templates in both LaTex and Open Document or Open Office format. Especially the latter should work. Who knows, a workshop might require something a little less formal.
I'm sorry, to have taken so long. In a way it was a blessing, for me, otherwise I would have been stuck with the date and I would have made it, but it would have cut seriously into the two weeks I want to spend with my beloved.
What we really can do, and I feel should do as the occasion arises, is present a little more in the Csound online meetings. This will help to establish what we're doing in the community, give us presentation training and perhaps better ideas on how to organise a proper conference presentation.
What do you think? I hope that you are not too disappointed. Again my apologies for leaving it so late.
