Dear Csounders, we have now formally announced the new release of the CDP software, some aspects of which may be of direct interest here. It has already been available on Github for some time, so early adopters can test building etc on different platforms. We have confirmed the programs (all Intel builds) run on new M1/M2 Apple machines. I have added below our formal "Press release". To this I want to add a mention of the new support in CDP for the PVOCEX analysis file format (.pvx). This will enable direct exchanges between CDP pvoc processes and Csound.
Facilities include:
"pvplay", a command line program to play an analysis file directly (otherwise, the same as the "paplay" program which has long been part of my "Multichannel Toolkit");
"pvocex2" : a version of classic pvoc I wrote a long time ago to implement the new format (including stereo analysis files, which the format supports, but not yet supported in CDP - but pvplay will play them); there is a simple '-I' flag option to report the PVOCEX proporties of an analysis file;
"specinfo print": print analysis windows to text file. Use with care!
